We are excite to annouce....

The Wielinski Family has gained another member to our family.....
meet Goldy! She was rescued from Coco's Heart Animal Rescue; born on October 17th, 2014. She is a terrier pit bull mix. She is a well mannered puppy that sleeps well in her kennel, is potty trained and was ready for some kids to love her up! Kaleb picked Goldy from a long list of potentials and was in love. Did not want any other dog and once they met face to face...you couldn't persuade him otherwise. Addisen was in love at first sight. She gets the kisses and loves to hug her, and Goldy just takes it. The kids have a long list of fun things to do with Goldy; but right now we are still sniffin out the new surroundings. Addisen just started mini tots at Flips Gymnastics and loves it. She is mastering her floor level beam, and loves to catch coach Anne off guard with flipping herself over the bar.
Kaleb is loving Kindergarten; loves going to art class to paint, loves to go to music and playing the instruments, loves reading, and writing but has really found a love for math. He comes home and teaches his sister words, numbers, shapes and colors. "I am Addisen's teacher," he says (and we have to admit, he does a really good job).
We continue to count down the days till the trailer opens....76 days and counting. As I type, the kids are telling Goldy about the fun at the lake! Excited for what is to come and so blessed to be a part of the experiences.... Happy Valentines Day!

Our little boy is 6....

At 12:42 AM 6 years ago this morning...Kaleb Michael made us parents. Hard to imagine what life was like without him---he started our family with one smile and never looked back.
Kaleb loves adventure, loves the outdoors, love to build or create, loves music (or listening to people sing to him), loves trains and honestly next to Daddy this kid is the biggest gopher fan we know....
He greets each day as a new one and hits the ground running (literally). He appreciates a challenge, but isn't afraid to ask for help; loves to crack a joke, or respond with one liners that makes Mommy and Daddy stop and laugh out loud. You have experienced loss; you have experienced new beginnings and the unknown- you ask questions, you try to understand EVERYTHING and when you can't...you keep trying (or Mom and Dad have to research or provide a creative answer to your questions) You are goofy, funny, and sometimes (ok more than sometimes) LOUD, but you are you...and we love it; you made us parents that cherish each and every minute!
He is a compassionate, loveable guy that still will stop and cuddle with Mom (my favorite)and won't leave for the day without giving his sister a hug and a kiss. He is a great big brother; an awesome kindergartener and one of the greatest blessings in our life. We love you to the moon and back Snicker Doodle! Happy 6th Birthday...can't wait to celebrate!

Happy 3rd Birthday Addisen....

Three years ago, on this day, we walked into the hospital not knowing what to expect, but honestly a little nervous, scared and excited for the outcome of two children. Our little peanut arrived at 4:40 pm...I knew it was a girl by the look of her pretty little toes!
From this moment our world has been forever changed. We have Thomas the Train, with dolls riding. We have tall lego towers with princesses in them and Buzz Lightyear to make the daring rescue (battling dragons and fire). We don't walk, we run, and everything is filled with excitement (ooooo's and awwww's).
The best expressions come from this beautiful little girl and our hearts melt each time. She tries our patience, makes our hearts's skip a beat and she loves with her whole heart. What scares her today is her adventure tomorrow; she has taught us to live life to the fullest and allow no obstacle prevent you from achieving what you dream.
Hard to believe that she is only three (although she says she is 4 or 6 or 8; sometimes we think 12!); we are so excited to see what our world will be as she continues to teach, play and love the environment around her.
Our little snortin Norton is three today....(tears...) so why not start it out with a pancake cake and candle (and a never ending birthday song from her Big Brother Kaleb)...and end it with a party with her family and friends!

Funny man....

So mommy calls me her funny man; I have some good one liners that will cause mommy to stop and stare at me and when she can no longer keep a straight face she breaks into tears from laughing so much. So let me tell you a new joke that I learned today from my teacher Mr. Johnson...How do you keep the snow from giving you cold feet????? Don't go around BRRfooted!!! I keep giggling each time a tell the joke but I thought it was fitting with all the snow that we got the past few days!
So now that school is becoming a routine it isn't as scary as I first thought. I look forward to going back each day. Mr. Johnson told mom and dad that I am the most polite student he has. Mommy was so proud she started tearing up! I am learning all sorts of new things and my favorite is reading. I love reading stories to Addisen, Mommy and Daddy.
The past few months have been a blur though. Addisen and I certainly do a good job of keeping mommy and daddy on their toes. In September I scored my first goal in soccer. I was so excited. It was a learning season, working on skills and playing little games but it was an awful lot of fun and I got to make some new friends. I can't wait for winter soccer (it starts in 30 days)
Addisen started gymnastics and is a natural. She flips, flops, jumps, runs, and swings all over the place. Mondays are her favorite day---is it gymnastics time yet? is it, huh? Right now, Mommy goes with her. It is funny watching Mommy trying to keep up with her and spot her so she doesn't fall. But if she does fall....she gets back up and runs to the next station. Daddy calls her the energizer bunny! With all that excitement our weekends became crazy running to and from and our time at the trailer was limited. So we closed it up before it got too cold. It was sad. We love the trailer. We miss our friends down there lots; but we get phone calls from our friends Barbara and Russell, and we get to see pictures of our friend Jameson and that cheers us up!
Over MEA break we headed north to Duluth to look at all the pretty fall colors, ride a train, see ships and do some hiking. Addisen and I love to hike, climbing the rocks, going along the trails. It was a blast. The train was awesome (but I am a train guy so of course I would think it is awesome). I can't wait to head back up there again!
The weekend before Halloween, I lost another tooth...my front tooth. Uncle Jon keeps telling me I need to lose the other one soon so I can ask for my two front teeth for Christmas (I don't think so Uncle Jonny!!!). But, Addisen thinks it is pretty neat to lose a tooth so she keeps telling Daddy that she has a loose tooth and we need to call the tooth fairy. I laughed and said that we don't call the tooth fairy silly...Mommy and Daddy told me that our teeth have GPS for teeth and only tooth fairies get the signals; once the signal comes they know they need to come. I leave my blinds open just a little so the tooth fairy can sneak in! The sneaky fairy snuck in even when Mommy was laying next to me. Neither one of us felt her at all. Sneaky!
So than Halloween came...and we had a great time! Addisen was Doc McStuffins and I was Dusty Crophopper from Planes. Daddy set the firepit up front and was out handing out candy to over 150 kids. It was fun seeing kids from school and in the neighborhood. It was a little cold, but it was so much fun walking up and down the street getting candy!
But now that November has come Daddy has already started setting up decorations for Christmas (outside). It is my favorite time of year. I love Christmas songs, and my favorite color red and my birthday (and Addisen's) is coming soon! YEA! This is my favorite time of year (did I say that already!). Happy November Everyone....

Life of an only child.....

Today I got to be the only child in the house; boy oh boy was I living this time up! As of yesterday, Thursday, we start our day by walking my brother to the bus stop, crying a little, giving kisses, hugs and than I quickly push brother towards the bus and wave goodbye! Than we walk back home. I get to now help mommy with all the fun stuff...laundry, dishes, sweeping, dusting and vacuuming. It is so fun getting to be the right hand girl. Mommy thinks this phase won't last and she laughs, but I love to help and I really love doing it "ALL BY MYSELF!"
So Kaleb started Kindergarten yesterday.
I don't really see how this was any different than me going to Ruthie's, but Mommy cried and cried anyways. He says he had a good time, and has some new friends. At the end of his day, Mommy and I met him at school. He was so excited to see us. We both got really big hugs! After, we went out to celebrate the first day with slushies and treats!!! It was really like any other day except brother got on a bus (big deal!).
This past summer kept us pretty busy. We headed down to the trailer as much as we could. We got to spend some time with our cousin's Charlie and Madeline and Morgan, Nathan and Zachary.
We love having visitors down at the trailer. We love going to the trailer. We have so much fun with our friends down there and hanging out with the activities goru Sammy (she is our buddy)....
We love going out on the boat and going out on the tube. I got to go out for the first time this year and of course....LOVED IT! I was bouncing around so much that Daddy said he couldn't get good pictures (maybe next time!) When we weren't down at the trailer, we were home pulling out overgrown plants, cleaning up the yard and meeting our neighbors. Michelle is my friend that lives right behind me. We love running and playing together and chasing the boys! We love being outside. We love our new neighborhood! It is so much fun having all sorts of kids in the neighborhood to play with and hang out with. In July, we stayed home and celebrated the 4th of July in Forest Lake (at a parade) and fireworks in White Bear Lake. It was so cool! It was a sad time though because shortly after we said goodbye to my Great Grandma Pete. Mommy assures me that she watches over all of us every day to make sure we are safe. But we are still sad; I miss riding on her lap, and listening to her sing. So we put a pictures of Pete and us up so that we can say hello and blow her kisses. Mommy says she loved kisses! This picture Mommy's cousin Nikki took.
It looks like an angel in the clouds with purple balloons (Pete's favorite color). We really like this picture (nice shot Nikki!) Well our fall is shaping up to be busy, as usual. Kaleb started soccer earlier this week and loves it! I start gymnastics in October and am so excited! We can't forget the trailer and than before you know it Mommy and Uncle Jon have their birthdays (which means mine is getting closer too!). I love eating cakes and I love being the only child, at least during the day. Between you and me, I kind of miss my brother when he is gone. It isn't as fun to play with his toys when he isn't here (chasing me) and when we break into a 30 second dance break (when a really good song comes on the radio we stop everything and dance)Mommy doesn't have any rhythm can't really dance....at least Kaleb and I can spin each other in a circle and laugh! Its getting to be my bed time....and as Pete would say....Good night Sweetheart! Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!

A tale of 5 months, 4 cities, and 2 kids....

Once upon a time, 5 months ago, there was this family (cute family with two energetic kids and two exhausted parents), that got so busy with the craziness of everyday life and new adventures; that they forgot to get onto the computer and update all of you with the excitement of our lives! So I am gonna take the time to catch all of you up on what has been happenin at the Wielinski House (warning there will be lots of cute pictures ahead)!!! Being 5 years old, I get the fun of picking out activities to participate in. The only rule is I have to finish what I start! Well I started playing floor hockey this past winter; I thought it would be like hockey, with ice and skates....boy was I wrong. But I got to run around and play goalie (which I loved), but it wasn't what I thought. So I got registered for skating and loved it (now if I could only get a stick and a puck and I would be in business). One night on the way home from the Eagles Nest, I discovered that my tooth was loose and before I knew it, it came out. Mommy and Daddy had to send an email to the tooth fairy because Mommy said she probably wasn't thinking I was gonna lose my first tooth so soon! The tooth fairy arrived with a some monies under my pillow. A couple weeks later, another tooth lost. Now I have a big hole in my mouth! My sister and I still go swimming a lot and got to put our skills to work when we went to the Wisconsin Dells with Nama, Papa, Uncle Jon, Auntie Emily, Uncle Ben, Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Ken, Morgan and Zachary in March. Even though the adults out numbered the kids, us kids got together and made a pact to gang up on the adults and see how tired they could get---We succeeded! We had a great time going down slides, splashing in the water, going in tubes and playing with our cousins'! Mommy said it was a good thing that she took the whole week off cause she needed a nap to recover!!! In April, we celebrated Daddy's birthday. I wanted to make sure I helped Mommy make the cake. We added sprinkles and had made sure we had lots of candles! The following weekend we got to go down to clear lake in Waseca (the trailer opened). It was so nice to be down there but it was kind of cold and the wind was brisk, but still nice to be down there. I love it at the lake; I love seeing all my friends! In May was a month of weddings. We had two! We started with Mommy's cousin Nikki's wedding. She was so pretty. I got to see construction at the new Saints Stadium, we got to dance, and play with our cousins, and I even took part in a pants down song (a little earlier than the rest-darn suspenders didn't hold my pants up as well as mommy thought they would!). We had a great time! A couple weeks later, Papa decided to quit his job and hang out with Addisen and I more. He says we are his new bosses! Mommy says he retired, but I don't understand what that means-so he quit to hang out with me! Later in May, our cousins' Charlie and Madeline came down to the lake and hung out with us for the weekend. We blew bubbles, played in the sand and went for bike rides. We had a great time; they said they are gonna come back later this summer (I am so excited to show Charlie some of my new sand toys!). Following week, Mommy and Daddy found out school ended a couple weeks earlier than they were anticipating. I was all excited and sad all at the same time. I was sad to say goodbye to my teacher, Mrs Schwartz, but she says I am ready for kindergarten! And I was sad to leave all my friends (especially my best friends Maria and Joey)--I am gonna miss school! Last weekend, Addisen and I were in Mommy's cousin Sara's wedding at Breezy Point. She was beautiful. Addisen and I got all dolled up (as mommy says). I had to wear a tie and a flower. Addisen got her hair curled and got to carry a basket of flowers. We got the ceremony in just in time-as we were making our way to the dance it started to sprinkle. Daddy says rain on the bride is a happy bride, but I would think that would make her mad if she were all wet! Either way it was a fun day! On our way home, we stopped by Mommy's Nama and Papa's old house. We got to stand by this big fish and get our picture taken. Mommy said her Papa loved to fish and loved to be by the lake (just like me). So in five months, we traveled from Hugo, to Wisconsin Dells, to Waseca and to Breezy Point all in the name of fun...
