After a long December, with a couple of hospital stays, we anxiously awaited the arrival of our reality that we now call Kaleb Michael. On January 2nd, 2009 we were admitted into the hospital to be induced; apparently Kaleb was quite content with his accommodations, because he was not interested in making his entry into this world. At 12:42 a.m. on January 3rd, he finally graced our world with his presence! Named after his Grandfather, and a spitting image of his father, he weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Within 12 hours of his arrival into this world, Kaleb was introduced to Grandpa and Grandma Hagel-who are extremely excited to be Grandparents (and for those that know them extremely doesn't describe it)! Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Bob-very excited to have their third grandchild, first grandson! Uncle and Godfather Jon (who is extremely excited to be an Uncle of this little boy!), Aunt Christine (also very excited to have a nephew) and extremely cool cousin Grace (who is also excited to be the big cousin)! We had a busy morning with lots of visitors, and took the opportunity for a afternoon nap!
After our nap, Kaleb was introduced to many of Mom and Dad's friends. Leif and Dave were quick to inform Kaleb of all the trouble they would get into as he got older! While Becky and Tracy enjoyed holding him! Later, Kaleb was introduced to his Godmother Anne and her family. He made his first friends with Brittany and Lucas!
It certainly was a great day visiting with everyone, but we were all extremely tired and couldn't wait to hit the hay!
