9 months....wow!

Wow how time flies. Can you believe that I am 9 months old? I can't---seems like just yesterday that I was introduced to this great big world! I don't think I have begun to see it all yet, but I got to see more of this great big world the past couple weeks when we headed up north. We did a lot of hiking--I get strapped into a back pack and the way Dad walks I kind of feel like I am walkin too! I have gotten to see, and touch (not taste though-which is kind of a bummer) lots of new things. I especially love picking up grass, and leaves! Dad says fall isn't fall till you get to run and jump into a pile of leaves....so guess what we got to do? All I can say is....Dad comes up with some good ideas!

Of course my 9 month was celebrated with pictures...Mom says I make it way too tough with all of my cute-ness. I guess I do, because it was 15 minutes worth of picture taking followed by 45 minutes of Mom's indecisiveness! But when it was all said and done I think Mom and Dad chose my best side! On Sunday this past week, I took (what Mom calls) my first steps. I was at the coffee table and I wanted to get over to Mom. I tried asking her to come and get me, but she wasn't havin it. She turned her head for a second and in a blink of an eye I walked her way. It was three steps and you would have thought it was more. She clapped and got all excited (of course I was smothered with hugs and kisses). We called Dad to tell him the news. He was bummed that he missed it and had to be at work, but he made me promise I would show him later! Grandpa Hagel was super excited too; he told Mom that I was gonna be walking before he put the trailer away for the winter, I did it with two weeks to spare! Whew! With all this moving and groving I have been kind of tired. Mom and Dad thought they should maybe adjust my bed time to help me out a little. But there are times that I just end up having so much fun and forget that I am sleepy and fall face down in my animals! Mom thinks this is soooo cute.... On top of all this excitement I start my waterbabies class this week, and I get to spend a long weekend with Mom and Dad! What could be better???!!!!
