The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Awwww...its that time of year again. Spring rain showers, mosquitos, fresh air, being outside and enjoying the laughter from the neighborhood kids. Who would have thought it would have taken this long to get spring, but it finally arrived. Its what Daddy calls a whacky year, but I have to say that my brother and I have contributed to it!
Kaleb has learned the word actually and loves to correct any incorrect information. Mommy and Daddy laugh...until he corrects them (than he and I do the laughing). I have found the passion of adventure. I explore, with the help of my brother, and than take matters into my own hands and see what comes. I have no fear. I climb playground ladders, not easily, and not without Mom gasping for a breathe. I ride trikes down hills, with my brother pushing me (and me giggling of course), this is quickly followed by Daddy running very fast to catch me. But my adventurous ambitions lead me to some trouble a couple weeks ago. I was walking after my puppy Bailey-Boop. My brother happened to be sitting by the fire, ignoring me of course, and I saw Bailey run, I ran after, tripped over his chair and fell into the fire. Nama, who turned her head to sneeze, quickly grabbed and ran me inside to cold water. Mommy and Daddy ran me to the ER and with the quick response, I am as good as new. Of course it took three weeks, but during it all, Mommy said I showed great strength and courage. Today, Daddy caught me holding my cup with both hands!
Amongst all this kaos, there has been lots of fun things too. We got to celebrate Pete's 92nd birthday outside with the whole big family (best of all there was cake! I love cake); And we instituted family park night (thats what Kaleb calls it). One week we went to Como Zoo with Papa and Nama to see the new Gorila exhibit. It was fun seeing all the animals. Kaleb and Nama were trying to get the animals to talk back to us, but it didn't work!!! Last week, we took our cousin Z-man to the Teddy Bear Park in Stillwater.(and had a blast). I loved going down the slide, and climbing (of course). Kaleb discovered rock climbing and was in love. He didn't want to leave the rock walls. . After the fun at the park, I got to experience my first ice cream cone (well the first one I didn't have to share). And as you can tell I enjoyed every lick of it!!!!
Last weekend, we were finally able to get out in the boat and do some tubing. Well, Kaleb and Mommy did, Uncle Jon said it was too cold and I am too little (but one day I am gonna find a way to get into that tube and go for a ride!!!).
Mommy and Daddy shake their heads and Kaleb and I...they laugh a lot, but as Daddy tells Mommy...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
