7 months old...where did the time go?!

August started with a bang....we had a Engagement Party for Mom's cousin Jenny and Andy at Grandma and Grandpa Hagel's house. Grandpa started a bonfire and we got to hang outside (so of course I had a good time)! Mom got me "all cuted up" (as she would put it) for the occasion! I seriously would have been fine in a diaper, but....I can't get dressed by myself yet! A couple days later, I was told that I was 7 months old. To celebrate, Mom and Dad took me on a bike ride, we played with my toys, and played peek a boo (that game can never get old; especially when Mom gets all excited to see me pull the blanket off my head!). Later that week, Mom discovered one of my top teeth came in. Of course Grandma Hagel is excited and keeps feeling for more! (The way I figure it, I get a few more of those toothers in and she won't be stickin no fingers in my mouth! HAHA!) The following weekend, I got to spend more time with my Dad. He has been working a bunch lately. So we decided to go camping, biking, hang out, and scare Mom (Dad let me honk the horn!). It was all a lot of fun. At the end of the weekend, Uncle Jon got me a couple of new hats (one is still big for me, but he said I would grow into it!), and the other fits great (and tastes good too)! Yesterday, as Mom was leaving Ruthie's, I decided I would throw caution to the wind and crawl towards Mom. As I got closer, I gave up and rolled over and reached for her. She was so excited....she had a tear in her eye and said that I make it tough to go into work! But I got lots of extra hugs and kisses outta the deal though (gotta love that!)! I am excited for my week ahead....today I get to go to Grandpa Hagel's city picnic at Como Zoo! By the end of the week, I get to go to Zimmerman to see Auntie Anne for her birthday! Ruthie is taking a long weekend coming up, so we are snatching Brittney and Lucas to come hang out at our house for the weekend....we are so excited. Brittney, Lucas and I are counting down the days....4 days and counting....did I mention Mom is taking Tuesday off to recover???!!! Good thing Ruthie comes back on Wednesday!
