Halloween...what a night!

Cutting up a pumpkin...I wasn't quite understanding why we have to go find a big pumpkin and then take its insides out; but Mom and Dad assured me this is normal! So we cut this pumpkin up and I tell ya, I wasn't quite sure of all the slim and stuff either, but you had to expect I would try and put it in my mouth!
I tried to help Dad carve my pumpkin, but he really does a better job than I can. I am having trouble getting my lines straight! So while he finished, Mom tried to explain the idea of Halloween to me; to be honest I wasn't listening (but don't tell her), I was wishing I could go outside! I don't mind the cold, but I look like a marshmellow and don't like wearing my mittens! Later, I got all "cuted-up," as Mom puts it, in my Halloween costume.....a snicker bar (Uncle Jon's idea, but Grandma Hagel's handy work!). So I agreed to do this Halloween thing...and off we went... We made the trek through Osceola to see Great Uncle Terry and Sara then over the river (St. Croix) and through the woods (to Forest Lake) where I saw Grammie, cousin Grace and Bella and Uncle Tim. Then it was to Grandma and Papa's house we went (I saw Grandpa Bob and Great Grandma Pete too). There was a lot of people, and I certainly had lots of fun. I just couldn't believe all the stuff I saw; Halloween, what a night! Later this week I am wishing bon voyage to my Grandma and Papa as they head to Hawaii...I asked Papa and and Grandma to bring me back the sun (so I don't have to wear those mittens!). Hurry back soon Grandma and Papa...I love yous!
