Aloha Mr. Turkey....

When Papa and Grandma were in Hawaii it was super duper nice out. I got to help Dad set up Christmas lights; Mom told me that I got to supervise while Dad got to do all the work. Wasn't too bad of a gig; I crawled around on the grass while Dad was moving on the roof. There was a couple of times that I had to tell him that stuff was not straight, but Dad does good work! The beginning of November was stressful for Mom; her company had lay offs. While she retained her position, some of her friends did not. So I did my best to try and cheer her up....I found really cool toys in the kitchen cabinets. She busted me with the camera when I found the bowls! Then later, while Mom was vacuuming, I hopped on that vacuum for a ride. I had a blast; was kind of bummed when she stopped. I must have cheered her up cause her and I were laughing all night long! A few days later, Papa and Grandma came home from Hawaii. We greeted in baggage claim; they couldn't get down the escalator fast enough! I was excited to see them and of course had a great big smile. Grandma (if you can believe this) smothered me in KISSES and Papa snatched me away and gave me a great big hug. When we got back to their house, Grandma opened up a suitcase and got out presents that they got me; I got some new t-shirts and an outfit (Hawaiian surfer boy). I'll be a pretty cool lookin boy next summer! Later that week, Mom and Dad finally went on a date. Uncle Jon snatched me from Ruthie's and took me back to Papa and Grandma's. It was just me and Uncle Jon for a while. We are getting to be pretty good pals...as long as I don't have dirty diapers! The next day was Thanksgiving and I got to sleep in; when I woke up Mom, Dad and I watched the Macy's Day Parade. I watched for a minute...then I wanted to play! I got to spend the afternoon with my cousins' Grace and Bella, Aunt Christine, Uncle Tim, Grandpa Bob and Grammie. I got to eat a little turkey, sweet potatoes, jello salad, green beans and a roll. That night, as I was headed to bed, we did our prayers and Mom and Dad said that this was there was so much to be thankful for this year...especially family. I have to agree! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
