Roll in the holidays.....

From cookin a turkey to setting up a tree. I don't quite understand this holiday stuff, but Mom and Dad have certainly made it a lot of fun. After eating all that turkey, I was super tired and slept really well that night (even snuck some cuddle time with Dad the next morning!). Later, we set up our Christmas Tree, village, and the train. I have to be honest, the train was the show stopper for me. Dad made the whistle blow and that got my attention. I love watching it go around and around. Dad got all excited that I liked the train; he even showed me how to operate it---so I took over the controls! At night, we listen to all sorts of Christmas music, read Christmas stories and look at the lights in front of the tree. Mom says the only thing that would make it better is snow on the ground. I made a request and I heard some should be arriving later today! This past weekend was Grandma Hagel's birthday. We celebrated with Great Grandma Pete and a red carpet cake...I love the color RED, so I was quite intrigued with this cake business and snuck a couple bites from Dad and Grandpa. Mom says I have acquired my Dad's sweet tooth; Dad and I both smile and nod our heads (its good stuff why wouldn't we like it!). To end our weekend, we got Grandma Hagel away from the Vikings game to go down to Macy's Santaland to see a day in the life of an elf and the Holidazzel parade. Santaland was neat, and the holidazzel was cool (literally), but I loved watching those lights. Mom says my eyes were as big as saucers. I was so excited about the whole experienced I talked the whole way back to Grandpa and Grandma's. Grandpa couldn't stop laughing at me! Mom and Dad said this was the perfect way to roll in the holidays; so far I have to say it has been quite fun and I know it is only going to get better.
